The last day to nominate a colleague for the IEEE Kiyo Tomiyasu Award is 31 January 2007. Established in 2001, the award is given to individuals or teams of no more than three persons for outstanding contributions made during the early or mid parts of their careers to technologies that lay the groundwork for innovative applications in the IEEE’s fields of interests. Nominees must be no older than 45 years of age and must have earned their highest academic degree no more than 15 years prior to being nominated for the award. Recipients get US $10 000, a bronze medal, and a certificate.
