World Travel Takes Over
From IEEE Travel Services

Because of a significant decline in revenue from airline ticket sales, IEEE Travel Services will cease operations on 28 September. Starting 1 October, all travel-related business—including airline, train, and hotel reservations—will be handled by the IEEE’s travel partner, World Travel Inc., headquartered in Douglassville, Pa.

“Using World Travel will enable the IEEE to efficiently track its spending on business travel, and the reservation center will also enable members to continue to enjoy the benefits of using a dedicated agent for their travel needs,” says IEEE President Leah Jamieson. Members, volunteers, and staff can all use World Travel connected with IEEE for their travel arrangements.

World Travel agents will work with airlines on tasks such as issuing and voiding tickets and changing flights, and on delays and cancellations.

To contact World Travel, call 1 800-879-4333.

For more information on the transition and its implementation, contact Sherry Russ, manager of meeting planning/travel services, at 1 732-562-3980 or visit the IEEE Travel Service Web site at http://www.ieee.org/web/aboutus/travel/index.html.
